Agriculture, irrigation and welfare will get the top priority in the Budget 2019-20 in Telangana. The officials are giving a final touch to the Budget. Mission Bageeradha and Mission Kakatiya will also get adequate funds for speedy completion.
It will be a vote on account budget but will all full-fledged provisions like the central government budget which was presented on February one. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has already given a broad outlay for the budget and told the officials that Farmer must get all the priority with free power, Rythu Beema, Rythu bandhu and yearly financial assistance.
Different departments have sent the proposal online to the Finance department and the budget is taking the final shape with a cost outlay of around 2 lakh crore. Budget is also allocated for the pensions.
For the first time departments related to each other are brought under one banner and they are interlinked so that they come under one roof and one minister will take care of the department.
On the other hand, people are waiting for the new Ministers to step in with the proposed cabinet expansion. Finance Minister is required to present the budget. So there could be cabinet expansion just before the ensuing budget session. There is a chance that CM KCR might present the budget on his own.
For the time being KCR is playing the cards close to his chest and no one is in a position to predict as to what would be his next step and when is the muhurat for the cabinet expansion. Right now CM and Home Minister are running the show for Telangana.
