The constitutional amendment bill, paving way for the 10 percent reservations to the EBCs, which was passed in the Loksabha yesterday will come up for the discussion today in the Rajya Sabha.
The bill paving the way for 10 reservations to the EBCs from Upper castes was passed with 323 votes and the Congress had no other option but to vote for the same.
Perhaps MIM chief Asadudin could be one of the voters who voted against the Bill.
Now the bill which is termed as a historic one giving 10 per cent reservations tot he upper castes will be coming up for discussion and voting in the Rajya Sabha today.
While the winter session of the LS ended yesterday the RS has been extended for two days paving the way for the 10 per cent quota bill to be discussed and passed.
After losing 3 states in the recent elections, the Modi Government thought it fit to take up the amendment for the constitution so that it can attract the votes of the upper castes. The share of the BJP will definitely rise this time from the upper castes.
All the EBCs from the upper castes may now vote for the BJP it looks like.
The upper castes from Northern India will definitely vote for the BJP, that is what the political analysts have said. This bill will definitely influence the voters in UP,MP and also Rajasthan.
The Brahmin community is very happy with this development. The EBCs from the Brahmins can also take the benefit of the reservation now. The Union Ministers said that EBCs from all the communities can, in fact, take the benefit of the 10 per cent quota bill.
