During the auspicious days of Uttarayana on Ekadasi Day, the 17th January 2019 the new Legislative Assembly will commence its proceedings. But where is the opposition? The big leaders from the opposition have lost the elections. The so-called leaders from the opposition like Revanth Reddy, Shabbir Ali and others were rejected by the people.
Against the landslide victory given by the people to his party, it has been decided to commence the Assembly proceedings during the auspicious Uttarayana days said the Honourable Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.
On 16th January 2019 at 5.00 PM the senior most MLA from Charminar Constituency Mumtaz Ahmed Khan will take oath as Pro-tem Speaker in Raj Bhavan. Governor ESL Narasimhan will administer the oath by the Pro-tem Speaker Mumtaz Ahmed Khan.
From next day i.e., 17th January the Legislative Assembly sessions commence. The Assembly proceeding will be there for four days from 17th January to 20th January 2019.
On the following day after the oath of the Pro-tem speaker, the Assembly proceedings will commence at 11.30 AM on 17th January 2019 presided over by the Pro-tem speaker. The same day schedule of election to the speaker will be announced and the nomination process commences.
The next day on January 18th 2019 speaker election and announcement will take place. Later Leader of the House and the Honourable Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Leader of the Opposition and floor leaders of other political parties will escort the newly elected Speaker to the Chair. Later the Assembly proceedings will continue with the newly elected Speaker in the Chair.
Speaker will conduct the BAC meeting after the house is adjourned and will take a decision on the Governors Address on the following day.
The Governor will address the Joint session on 19nth. The next day there will be the motion of thanks to Governor.
