Pallavi Gogoi an Editor with National Public Radio revealed that she was assaulted and raped by the former Editor MJ Akbar several times when she was with Asian Age.
This is to support the other ladies who made allegations at Akbar, Pallavi revealed. She was about 22 years old,when she worked with Akbar, he kissed her, assaulted her and raped her several times, Pallavi posted.

Now she is a US-based Journalist and said has suffered from shame, could not report the issue to the police. She recalled that MJ Akbar has ripped off her clothes in the hotel room and raped her. When she resisted Akbar assaulted her violated her several times in the coming months also. He would call Pallavi in the name of discussing stories and would threaten her of removing her from the Job and raped her several times as he was stronger than Pallavi.
She was filled with shame and could not report to the police or anyone. It may be noted that Akbar resigned as the Union Minister after the women journalists made allegations and posted under Me Too. Now Akbar is fighting the cases in the court after filing a defamation suit.
