The Visakhapatnam Airport is under the security and supervision of the Central Industrial Security force. It is headed by senior police officer CV Anand. Anand said that the responsibility of the security of the LOP was AP Police. The AP police were accompanying the LOP as security to him. It is reported that when Jagan was stabbed the security people were also having coffee in the VIP lounge.
But the AP police GDP Thakur says that the responsibility of the VIP in the airport is with the CISF as they are taking care of the airport. The CISF chief says that the employees working in the airport will not be checked and the ID would be seen and sent in. Only the passengers will be checked before they board the plane.
In one way the CISF is responsible for not checking hotel employee and in another way the AP police guarding Jagan were having coffee and not alert when the stabbing occurred. We can see security people leaving the VIP in the lurch and taking biryani in the 5-star hotels. You can call it the hunger or weakness for food. There are times when the security people are busy with food and the VIP left the function or hotels without security. Here both the CISF and also the police are equally responsible.
