The Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, Mr. V.C. Sajjanar IPS, Phoenix Avance facility heads Mr. Srikanth and Dileep along with a few of Cyberabad’s top-ranking officers visited Phoenix Avance, Hyderabad, to conduct a Citizen Connect session. This is a first of its kind initiative, where Hyderabad’s top Police officers visited the Phoenix Avance premises to engage with employees and address the safety needs and concerns of citizens in the IT corridor. CP Cyberabad along with other participants planted a saplings in Phoenix Avance premises.
Phoenix Avance facility heads Mr. Srikanth lauded the efforts of the Cyberabad Police for setting up of SHE teams, launch of Safety apps, Command Control Centre, Installing CCTV Cameras, and various other initiatives have gone a long way in bringing the department close to IT workforce in the city and improving overall safety.
The Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, V.C. Sajjanar gave details of the various initiatives taken by his department including increase in patrol vehicles, quicker response time to distress calls, easier accessibility to citizens through WhatsApp and Twitter, and the Police Kalabrundam that was reaching out to citizens across cities and remote locations to educate them on social and behavioural matters such as gender inequality, eve- teasing, ragging and suicides.
He made a special mention of Operation Smile that has enabled the rescue of over 200 children from the streets and from hard labour, also helping reunite some of the lost children with their families, and of the installation of CCTV cameras across the city, which has helped the Police solve many crimes.
CP requested the top heads of the Phoenix and each IT professional to contribute towards the CCTV project for a safe and secure community. The services of IT employees in regulating traffic in IT areas was highly appreciated by the CP and he also requested the management to encourage their employees to participate more in traffic volunteer initiative of Cyberabad police.
