Senior Congress leader Jaipal Reddy demanded that the Union Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar must resign as many journalists have named him in the Me Too. The women Journalists have mentioned that MJ Akbar tried to take advantage of them and behaved in a strange manner when they met him for interviews and jobs.
He sang songs for them, he invited them on to his bed when he was an Editor. Later he became the Minister in BJP Government. Many women journalists named him and talked against him in the MeToo postings. Priya Ramani did not name him initially but now she has named him.
Some other women also have named him. He is yet to make any comments over the postings and allegations so far. Earlier Tehelka editor Tarun Tejpal Singh was also named by a woman for his bad behaviour.
