Rajendrangar has become a hot seat this time. The sitting member is Prakash Goud of TRS who has defected from TDP. All the party candidates are ready for the seat. Even the MIM is planning to contest from this seat as there are a good number of Muslims here. Earlier MIM lost to TDP here. But now the TDP man who has won the election is with TRS.
KT Rama Rao has done a few roadshows and development works here and Prakash is confident that he would win the seat with the development being done by the TRS Government.
But the Congress is hopeful that they will take it this time. Rahul Gandhi the Congress chief held a meeting here and they are hopeful. But some people in the name of sentiment say that since Rahul has come they might lose the seat.
Former Home Minister and close confidant of YS Rajasekhar Reddy Chevella Chellamma Sabitha Indrareddy is a local and she might contest from Rajendranagar it is reported. If not Sabitha her son Karthik will contest this seat. They will give a tough time to TRS.
Now the BJP is also looking at Rajendrangar. Baddam Bal Reddy the old warrior from the party who earlier contested for Hyderabad seat and lost several times is getting ready it is reported. There are others also aspiring for the BJP ticket if not Baddam.
Congress, BJP and TRS will be the main contenders for Rajendranagar with an edge towards the TRS and Congress. KTR is working hard for getting all the seats in Hyderabad for TRS as he has done a lot of development here.
