Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao suggested that henceforth the Singareni workers are to be addressed as employees without discriminating them from other staff.
The Singareni should expand multifariously into different areas utilizing its experience, expertise and working methodology’ said the Chief Minister.
The CM said that the approach of separating management and workers as two different entities has to be done away forthwith and all should be treated as one single family of Singareni.
The coal mines Officers Association members and TBGKS leaders met Honourable Chief Minister at Pragathi Bhawan by TBGKS Honorary Chairperson and Member of Parliament Kavitha.
On this occasion, the Singareni Officers presented a cheque for Rs. 1 crore to the CM Relief Fund for the welfare of ex-armed personnel. CM had a brief meeting with the representatives of Singareni officers and workers.
They had conveyed their thanks to the Chief Minister for fulfilling the earlier promises made to the Singareni Employees. They further mentioned few more issues. The CM on these also positively responded and announced decisions immediately.
“Singareni has experiences and expertise of 120 plus years in mining. Even in adverse circumstances and in different climates it has a knack to deliver goods. With the huge experience behind it in extracting coal from underground, the Singareni organization should move forward with added encouragement.
The organization should expand itself to other mining areas. Already the organization has entered Thermal and Solar Power production arenas. Its expertise should be utilized to extract the sand reserves and granite reserves which are available in abundance in the State.
The Government is also thinking to entrust the responsibility of mining in Bayyaram Mines to Singareni Corporation. The Singareni should come out with a study paper on the areas into which it can diversify itself.
