Kerala does not need food and clothes clarified the Union Minister Alphons. He said that rebuilding Kerala is the point now and it needs a lot of money. Kerala requires Rs 20000 crore immediately for rebuilding the infrastructure and PM gave 500 crore. A lot of area in the state is inundated and it has to be rebuilt.
The gods own country is submerged and they need technical assistance and know how to rebuild the state in terms of infrastructure. Perhaps the engineering department from the Army and other armed forces could help the state to a large extent apart from the Government departments of various states especially the Engineers from the Government side.
Even some private companies involved in the engineering side of building and construction can come forward for the development and rebuilding of infrastructure in Kerala.
More than 300 people have died and lakhs have lost their homes and are in the shelters. Still, the people are being evacuated. It will take years for Kerala to come back to the normal condition. Food is coming in large quantities from the centre and medical camps are also functioning. There is no outbreak of any diseases so far.
Thousands of electricians, plumbers and carpenters are needed immediately in Kerala. If the State Governments can send them from their departments pooled together it will be of a great help to the Kerala people. Dumping food and clothes is a mere waste. Finances and manpower is the need of the hour in Kerala.
