Rahul Gandhi the Congress chief in his tweet has suggested to the PM Modi that the Kerala floods must be declared as a National Disaster. This comes after PM Modi declared an immediate relief to the extent of Rs 500 crore after his ariel survey today.
Earlier also the PM did the survey on the Kerala floods and declared Rs 100 crore relief.
The Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao on his part has given 25 crores apart from sending the relief material food utensils and other things. The AP CM has announced 5 crore.
A lot of other help is also being extended by other states. More than 400 people died in the excess rains and floods that damaged Kerala. There is no respite so far and the relief work is still on.
