Akun Sabarwal is a man who cannot keep quite. He has to be in action and enforcement in one form or the other. Earlier he was after drugs and now he is after liquor from today.
The Department of Prohibition and Excise has launched a 100 day direct action initiative. As part of this initiative enforcement activities will be taken up across the State.
Based on the above inputs from within and outside the department, mandal wise and district wise action plans have been prepared. As part of this planning process, Senior Officers of the department visited various parts of the State in the last 25 days.
The programme was launched at Sangareddy by Akun Sabharwal, IPS, Director of Enforcement. He launched the program with the participation of all officers and men of the districts of Siddipet Medak and Sangareddy.
Urban areas→ Public consumption, A4 and 2B violations.
Rural areas → ID Control, Check Toddy adulteration, MRP and other violations.
The action plan has been divided into 4 periods of 25 days, with each of these enforcement activities taken up:
1.ID control
2.Toddy Adulteration
3.A4 & 2B visits
4.MRP violations
5.Public Consumption
The 100 day direct action will culminate on 19th of November, 2018 and it will include State vide assessment of action carried out and result achieved.
