Prince Mahesh Babus latest film Maharshi his 25th is costing around Rs 150 crore. Bharat Ane Nenu was a super duper hit and they got huge profits the distributors were happy. It was a single producer and he has given his best to Koratala for the same.
Now Maharshi has got 3 producers all big production houses. Vyjayanthi movies, Sri Venkateshwara Movies, PVP. PVP entered the scene after going to the court against Mahesh and it was like unwarranted entry into the movie. PVP barged into the production to recover his earlier loss for Brahmotsavam.
If it is Mahesh it will be big budget and with Dil Raju, Ashwini Dutt and Prasad joining the hand for Maharshi budget should not be a problem. But what about the results. Vamsi Paidipally is not that a sure shot director.
Oopiri did well when compared to other movies and one has to what Maharshi will do for the distributors.
The distributors enjoyed the returns from BAN, but one has to look at the situation now. The producers are on tenterhooks. The earlier shoot was cancelled due to Modi’s tour for a month. later PVP court case followed. Mahesh was forced to surrender.
The result is too many cooks in the form of Producers. One has to wait for the result. The first look was OK.
