Former Cricketer and MP Azharuddin who is claiming his stakes for the Secunderabad parliament from the Congress party has congratulated another captain Imran Khan who is on the verge of taking the reigns of Pakistan. He opined that like in the cricket Imran would take positive decisions to win over the people in Pakistan.
Azhar opined that cricket was different and leading a country and taking political decisions is altogether a different matter. Azhar suggested that first Imran must take control of the situation in Pakistan set the things rights and then look at India. However, he was hopeful that the tensions would ease between the Pakistan and India once Imran steps in.
He said that Imran was a good friend and a positive cricketer and opined that the friendship between India and Pakistan will bloom in the near future. He did not comment about contesting from Secunderabad parliament on the Congress ticket. Azhar said that the high command would decide on the seat and that he was ready to contest from Telangana in any of the sets suggested by President Rahul Gandhi along with the local leadership.
