DMK President M Karunanidhi has been admitted to kauveri hospital in the early hours of Saturday as his Blood Pressure has dropped. The hospital in the official bulletin said that his condition was kept stable with medical assistance and that he was improving. Karunanidhi who is not making any public appearances is not keeping well for last two years and was breathing with the help of medical assistance from time to time.
His son Stalin and the other family members are with Karuna and Stalin said that his conditioning was improving and that there was nothing to worry.
Crowds and party workers have been pouring in the residence of Karunanidhi since morning and were shouting slogans for him. The family members also have rushed to the hospital and are monitoring the situation. Alagiri who was expelled from the party by Karunanidhi was also seen at his in Gopalapuram.
Karunanidhi has a fever and is being treated for urinary infection. Earlier a surgery was performed on him as he could not breathe properly. He has been moving around in a wheelchair. He was doing fine when Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his MPs met him recently.
