Azharuddin the popular cricketer from Hyderabad is planning to contest the coming elections for Lok Sabha. A broad understanding has already reached between Azhar and the Congress party. Azharuddin who was a Congress MP earlier lost the elections in 2014 and waiting for an opportunity to contest again. The Congress party wants Azhar to contest from Hyderabad against Owaisi the MIM leader. But Azhar is not willing to contest against Asaduddin owaisi. Azhar knows that his popularity cannot beat Asad Bhai.
He wants Secunderabad. There are rumours that Bandaru Dattatreya the sitting MP may not contest from Secunderabad. Talasani Srinivas Yadav from TRS is also aiming at Secunderabad as an MP. His son might contest from Sanathnagar for MLA. There are also indications that Danam Nagendar might also opt for Secunderabad seat as an MP. Secunderabad is one seat where the concentration is going up and no one is daring enough to challenge Owaisi from Hyderabad Loksabha seat.
Many TRS MLAs who are Ministers could be fielded as MPs this time it is reported. Tummala Nageshwar Rao, Harish Rao, Srinivas Yadav, Etala Rajender, KCR are some names being examined for MP seats. There is a chance that some MLAs could be dropped and new aspirants would come in. All said and done this time the elections would be very interesting with multi-cornered contests.
