Finally, DGP of Telangana has taken a right decision at the right time by sending Kathi Mahesh for abusing Ramayana and Lord Rama along with Sita. Mahendar Reddy has been an upright officer and he proved it beyond doubt several times.
People like former DGP Aravindar Rao came out in open on TV Channels and wanted action against Kathi Mahesh and the DGP agreed for the same by sending Mahesh out of Telangana for 6 months. He is also banned from TV channels and talking to the media over the issue. This is also a good move.
While the country is directly or indirectly running on the basis of Hindutva and precisely in the name of Rama, it is unbecoming on the part of an individual to hurt the sentiments of crores of people across the world. For the first time, women came out in open and abused the mother of Kathi Mahesh.
At the same time, the police have done a right thing by stopping Swamies from taking out a protest rally. It has to be seen how will the Andhra Government react to the presence of Kathi Mahesh in Chittoor. Mahesh tried to his caste card, it had no impact at all. It was Ram Gopal Varma who first started abusing Gods. He was also abused for the same.
Once MF Hussain also painted the Telugu gods in an abusive fashion. He was almost threatened to death. The latest is Mahesh and the police have taken a right decision.
