MP Nizamabad kavitha said that its time the school children midday meal is cooked on LPG so that the pollution due to firewood and cutting of the trees can be stopped to a larger extent. The ladies can use the gas and cook the food easily she opined. She pointed out that fine rice is being cooked and given to the children in schools. We will try our best to get the LPG for the schools to cook the mid-day meals and ladies cooking the food also be very happy she opined.
She met the children and midday meal cooking ladies at Jagityal. Kavitha said that the allocation of funds would also be increased and the quality of food for the students can be improved soon.
Minister for finance Etela Rajender said that all out efforts would be put to give LPG to the schools for midday meals. KCR government was trying to cover every household with an LPG connection he said. TRS is trying to avoid the firewood usage to reduce pollution and hardship to the ladies he stated. He complimented Kavitha for achieving the Turmeric board for the state of Telangana. KCR is also doing a lot for the ladies apart from the farming community he reminded. He said that welfare was the hallmark for Telangana and every state in the country including the centre was looking at the outstanding performance of Telangana in all parameters.
