Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security was beefed up following the threats from Maoists confirmed the Union Minister for Hime Rajnath Singh. Rajnath clarified that there was no request of whatsoever from the PMs side or his office on the security front but as the Minister for home taking the intelligence input and the police precautions the security for the Prime Minister of India was tightened further he stated.
There is a committee which reviews the security of the Prime Minister from time to time and it is a continuous process. The SPG also in coordination with the IB and police arrange the required security for the PM. He is the Prime Minister of the country and it’s my responsibility to take care of his security Rajnath replied to a question.
He explained that the left wing extremism was in 10 districts and that the Government was monitoring the situation. Talking about the minorities Rajnath said that discrimination on the basis of the caste, creed and religion will not be allowed at any cost. Our main policy to justice to all and appeasement to none.
