Kaala is a pucca mass movie and audience especially the fans who have seen half of the movie have already declared it as super duper hit. Once a king always a king said one of the Rajini fans. People have lined up at the theatres in Chennai since last night and the crowds swelled around 4.30 am since this morning.
There is a tense situation at the Karnataka theatres and the police are stationed at the sensitive areas. CM Gowda has warned Rajinikanth and Dhanush the producer that it was not the right time to release the movie. Prakash Raj said that the movie should not be targetted for political reasons. The Karnataka film chamber of commerce is against the release of the movie.

The Supreme court said that people were, in fact, waiting for the release of the movie and that they cannot stop the release. The Karnataka High court has ordered the State Government to take care for the release of the movie Kaala. This will be the first test for the CM Gowda after he takes over as the CM. Pro Kannada groups suggested the CM not to allow the screening.
Rajinikanth, who is from Karnataka, said in Kannada: “I understand HD Kumaraswamy’s situation. This is not good for Karnataka. When the film is released around the world, the Karnataka ban would highlight the Cauvery water dispute.. The Film Chambers is supposed to ensure that there’s no problem for distributors. It is not right that the Karnataka Film Chamber demands Kaala”.
The movie is for Politician Rajinikanth rather than the old Rajinikanth the Hero. Ranjith tries to establish Rajini in the political arena with comedy here and there.
But all said and done Rajini can have a sigh of relief that the movie is a hit.
