Popular actor and director Madala Ranga Rao is dead. He died in star hospital this morning. He was popular for making movies with social awareness and for the downtrodden. His themes were mostly rural and has a communist ideology in them. He was a producer and also director for his movies.
His movie Yuvatharam Kadilindi got Golden Nandi award. The body of Madala Ranga Rao was taken to his son Madala Ravi’s residence and it will be kept for people to pay homage at the film Nagar cultural centre it is reported. He is a member of Praja Natya Mandali. Some communist leaders have expressed grief and expressed sympathy over the death of Madala. Erra Mallelu and Erra Pavuralu were his popular films.
