JDS leader and CM designate Kumara Swamy Gowda who would be taking oath on 23rd is firm on his decision and is not allowing the Congress to move forward in bargaining for the berths. He made it clear that the cabinet formation will be on his terms and he also clarified that the JDS will have the CM post on a permanent basis and there was no question of rotation of the post.
Similarly, he also clarified that there will be no two deputy CMs. perhaps the Home Ministry might go to the Congress it is reported. There will be more than 20 ministers in the cabinet according to the sources. At the same time soon after the oath-taking, there will be a meeting of all the like-minded people on 23rd which would set the ball rolling for the unity of opposition.
The Congress party would play role in taking all the regional parties under one umbrella and the would fight against the BJP. The idea of fighting against the Congress and BJP may not succeed in the near future. The Congress under Rahul which got the power to JDS in Karnataka is being taken seriously now. Mamatha is also of the opinion that the Congress should be included in the fight against the BJP.
Many leaders have appreciated the stand of Congress in supporting the JDS for keeping the BJP away from power. But Amit Shah the BJP Chief described its as an unholy alliance and it may not continue for long.
