The Supreme Court said that a husband cannot force her wife to stay with him. The woman is at liberty to walk out and stay on her own if she does not like her husband. The lady cannot be treated as an object and kept with you the judges told the husband.
The women said that she will not continue with her husband as he was cruel and subjecting her to domestic violence. The woman’s lawyer also appealed for divorce as the lady was being treated very badly.
The same case was earlier referred to counselling and mediation, but the matter could not be resolved. While the husband is not agreeing to divorce, the woman wants to go for divorce it is reported. But the court made it very clear that even though it is her husband, he cant detain her as she does not wish to stay with him anymore.
