Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is all set for an acid test on the floor of parliament on Monday has appealed to the farming community not to burn the crops. It is called as stubble burning. He explained that this spoils the health of the soil and also the mankind.
The crops burnt pollute the atmosphere and it causes trouble to the transport system as thick smoke darkens the road. Modi said that the burning of crops is a bad practice and one must abandon it as to save the atmosphere thereby saving the mankind from the pollution and also darkening the roads.
Modi was speaking at the Krushi unnati mela in the Pusa institute. The crop residue should not be burnt he suggested. When we take energy from the soil and atmosphere for the crops how can we spoil the soil and atmosphere in the end he questioned.
He said that the stubble burning gives thick smog in the atmosphere and the people using vehicles will not be able to see the front properly. The system of waste to wealth should be achieved with crop residue he suggested.
