PM Modi spoke to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu today. It may be noted that when Babu tried to talk to him over the proposed resignations of the Ministers at the centre he was not available.
It is learnt that Babu spoke to Modi at length and explained to him about the reason for the proposed resignation of the two TDP Ministers. The Ministers are proposed to meet the PM before the resignation.
Babu and his ministers decided to go for the resignation as the centre said that it will not be in a position to give the special status to the state of Andhra Pradesh. Modi tried to convince Babu and his ministers but failed to stop the resignations.
The Ministers from Andhra Ashoka Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdhary have resigned and then they have proposed to address the media after meeting Prime Minister Modi. The Press meet is about 7pm. They came in their own cars leaving the protocol aside and handed over the resignation letters to the PM.
