2.0: A sequel to the 2010 blockbuster ‘Enthiran’, ‘2.0’ is touted to be a sci-fi thriller and will see Rajinikanth reprise his ‘Chitti’ character from the first part. A Shankar directorial, it is tipped to be an absolute visual treat for movie buffs.
Vishwaroopam 2: The long-delayed ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ is a sequel to the 2013 release ‘Vishwaroopam’ and features veteran actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan in the lead. A spy-thriller, it is slated to finally hit screens this year and will touch upon several hard-hitting subjects.
Indian 2: As the title suggests, ‘Indian 2’ is a sequel to the 1996 hit ‘Indian’ which had Kamal Haasan in the lead. Just like the original version, the sequel too will be helmed by Shankar and will deal with a burning social issue. Initially, Dil Raju was going to produce it, however, he opted out.
Maari 2: Dhanush’s 2015 release ‘Maari’ was an absolute treat for his die-hard fans as it featured him in a massy and raw avatar that he carried off like a boss. The film also grabbed eyeballs courtesy his chemistry with Kajal Aggarwal. Its sequel ‘Maari 2’ is likely to be released in 2018 and could turn out to be even massier than the first part.
Saamy Square: In 2003, the dashing Vikram delivered a solid performance in the action-drama ‘Saamy’ and gave strong proof of his abilities as an actor. Now, nearly 15 years later, its sequel ‘Saamy Square’ is all set to hit screens much to the delight for fans.
