Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield has announced achieving 16 per cent growth in overall sales in the month of December 2017.
The company sold a total of 66,968 motorcycles last month, which includes both the domestic market as well as the international exports.
During the same month last year, the company had sold 57,398 motorcycles cumulatively. Sales in the domestic market also saw an impressive growth of 16 per cent with 65,367 motorcycles being sold in December 2017, as opposed to the 56,316 motorcycles sold during the same month last year.
Exports, on the other hand, shot up to 1,601 units, against the 1,082 units exported in December 2016, registering a growth of 47 per cent.
