Vemulawada MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh’s 2009 election was declared void now.
According to court, a person, even Indian, who happens to be a citizen of another country at the moment, doesn’t hold right to contest in elections in the country.
Right from his nomination , Chennamaneni Ramesh was accused of using fake documents to showcase that he is Indian citizen, which happens to be the prime criteria for any person to contest elections in India.
Earlier Adi Srinivas, has lodged a petition in High Court against Ramesh, providing all necessary evidences to prove that the sitting MLA is having a dual citizenship, he owns German citizenship.
