Tonnes of silver offered by the pilgrims are lying idle with the TTD. It was converted into pure bars but not being used by the TTD. They are purchasing silver in case of any need from outside.
The silver can be sold and the money can be deposited in the banks. The same bars can be converted into gold and the same can be deposited in banks for interest. But so far no decision has been taken yet.
When the old EO Sambasiva Rao tried to convert silver it did not materialize. Now the EO Singhal must take initiative to convert the silver bars into gold or sell them directly and make money, so that interest can be earned.
In the name of board decision most of the works don’t go forward in TTD. Decision making becomes difficult all the time.
