Flipkart has not been bogged down by collapse of a buyout deal with Snapdeal, as the company has revealed it is starting yet another online sale. This online sale forms part of company’s steps toward capturing majority of online buyers who go on shopping spree during festive season.
Flipkart with an eye on major chunk of India’s $12 billion e-commerce industry had offered to buy Snapdeal which turned down a revised $950 million offer from the former.
Flipkart, e-commerce giant, has lined a number of products up for grabs at cheaper prices as part of its Independence Day celebrations.
“Flipkart’s ‘Freedom Day Sale’ offers are here providing customers a minimum 71 percent off on numerous products under various categories,” the company said in a statement on its website.
