The State Election Commission on  has ordered an enquiry against YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s inflammatory comment against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Deputy Commissioner of Kurnool has been asked to conduct the enquiry. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s government is taking legal views to take criminal action against Jagan, sources said.

Earlier on Friday, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) state coordinator secretary M Subba Rao registered a complaint against Jagan Mohan Reddy, for ‘using abusive words and provoking the public to shoot Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister in public’ on the road.

“There is a need to avoid these types of provoking persons in politics and we request people to stay calm and restore the peace in the city,” Rao said.

The Pattabhipuram Station House Officer (SHO) said that the complaint has been registered and the enquiry will be done, adding if it is a criminal case the court will take action against the accused.
