In Cyberabad Commissionerate ‘Operation Smile -IX was conducted in the month of January 2023, to trace out missing children and rescue children from Begging, Rag picking, Child labour etc.
As part of these operations, total 9 teams were formed Division wise in Cyberabad Commissionerate consisting 1SI/ASI, 3 PCs and 1 WPC in each Sub-Division and along with AHTU Team.
As such the teams have conducted rescue operations in various industries,
companies and other shops and commercial establishments, conducted special drive on minor
begging children and then uploaded them in “Darpan App” to trace out the missing children.
During the period, total (829) Children have been rescued in the limits of Cyberabad
Commissionerate. Out of which (487) Boys and (87) Girls belong to within the State and (245)
Boys and (10) Girls belong to other states, details are as follows:Operation Smile-IX program was Conducted by AHTU & Smile teams, as per the directions and support provided by Sri. M. Stephen Raveendra, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad,guided and supervised by Smt. D Kavitha, DCP, Women & Children Safety Wing, and monitored closely by Sri M Srinivas, Inspector AHTU and Sri Veerabramham SI, Smile teams, Cyberabad.
