73 dead in 4 days in UP: rains

Its raining cats and dogs in UP and Bihar is in knee-deep waters. So far 73 persons have died due to rains. UP CM Yogi Adityanath is having sleepless nights to rescue people from the rain waters.

18 teams of Nationa Disaster Response Force are working day in and day out to rescue the people from the rain clogged areas. Onion crop is submerged in water and different states are reeling with Onion crisis.

Bihar and Patna are in severe trouble. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has sought help from various quarters to come out of the crisis. Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir apart from Rajasthan and MP are experiencing heavy rains.

Around 15 trains were cancelled in Bihar. Uttar Pradesh received rainfall above 1700 per cent. This is abnormal. The UP Chief Minister Yogi has announced Rs 4 lakh compensation to the families who died due to rains.

Mumbai has been experiencing heavy rain on a daily basis and the people are getting used to the troubles. On the other hand, when it comes to Hyderabad, no deaths have been reported but heavy rainfall of 12 to 14 CM was recorded on a daily basis.

All the lakes and canals are overflowing here in the Telugus states, while excess water is being let out of the irrigation projects.
