54 people were dead and several injured in a bus accident in Karimnagar today. The bus driver was unable to control at the Ghat section in Jagityala of Kondagattu. He could not control the speed while making a tuning it is reported. 28 people died in the bus and some were serious and are in a local hospital.
Jagityala falls under Congress MLA Jeevan Reddy . It is an RTC bus run by the Telangana Government. Minister for finance Etela Rajendar is monitoring the situation it is reported. The relief measures are on. The driver is also in the hospital.
CM KCR was shocked by the incident. He advised the local authorities to give good treatment to the passengers who were admitted to the hospital. KCR also announced 5 lakh exgratia to the families of the passengers who died in the accident.
Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao expressed shock over the ghastly road accident at Kondagattu ghat road. In a message CM expressed deep condolences on the loss of lives and injuries to others. CM has further directed the officials concerned to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured.
