The last rites of K Vishwanath will be performed here at the Panjaguuta burial grounds by this evening. Comedian Brahmanandan described Vishwanath as Swarnakamalam. He was born in 1930. Studied in Guntur at a Christian college.

Actor and Politician Khushbu wrote on Twitter, “We have lost another gem! What a legend! #KVishwanath gaaru will be remembered forever for his art, his passion and his understanding of films.

Never got an opportunity to work with him, but been a great admirer of his work. Will be missed. RIP #KVishwanathgaru Om Shanti.”

The legendary filmmaker K. Viswanath is survived by his wife Kasinadhuni Jaya Lakshmi, three sons including Ravindranath, Nagendranath, and a daughter, Padmavathi.

He started his career as a sound engineer. Then turned into an an Assistant director. Later became a director. Vishwanath worked for the moive Pathala Bhairavi first.

Many celebs like Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR, Kamal Haasan, director Krish and AR Rahman took to social media and offered condolences over the demise of K Viswanath.

Kamal Haasan wrote a handwritten letter that reads, “Kalathapasvi K Viswanath gaaru fully understood the transcience of life and immortality of art. Hence his art will be celebrated beyond his lifetime and reign. Long live his art. An ardent fan, Kamal Haasan 2023.”

The Telugu film industry has declared a holiday today for the industry. All the shootings have been stopped. CM KCR, Ministers KTR,Harish , Talasani and others paid rich tributes to the departed soul.
Speaker Srinivas Reddy also paid his respects.
