The farmers are an agitation path since last 40 days. Several rounds of talks have been completed between the farmers and the Central Government.
Prime Minister Modi has briefed the farmers and the people of India that the New laws are for the betterment of the farming community and that the Government would never exploit them.
The Centre also agreed to appoint a committee to look into the demands of the farmers. But the centre is not for repealing the laws completely. The farmers are also adamant that they want a yes or no. They are very particular about the status of the MSP.
But the Government said that it would not repeal the law on MSP, but said that the committee appointed would look into the issue after the due consultation with the farmers.
Now the farmers are planning a tractor rally on the Republic day in Delhi to highlight their issues. Some state Governments are supporting the cause of the farming community.
Delhi CM Kejriwal is supporting the cause of the farmers. KCR the CM of Telangana who was also supporting the cause of the farming community and opposing the farm laws is yet to come into action.
The Central Ministers and the farmer leaders shared the food at a Langar but could not make any headway in the talks. The farmers have completed 40 days in agitation.
The Government at the centre is hopeful that they will be able to convince the farmers that it for the welfare that they have introduced these farm laws.
