A boat tragedy occurred when a country boat turned turtle after hitting a pillar under construction. It is reported that 30 people were in this boat when it overturned in the Godavari waters at Ipolavaram.
26 people were saved by the local people and 4 are missing. The swimmers are trying to trace the 4 people still missing in the boat tragedy.
It is yet to be ascertained as to who are the 4 that are missing in the tragedy. The CM Chandrababu who came to know about the tragedy ordered for details. He wanted all others missing to be traced. As of now, it has to be ascertained as to how many were in the boat and how many are still missing. The correct count is yet to be ascertained. The tragedy come under the purview of the East Godavari district.
CM has ordered the district collector to visit the spot and do the needful to the people who are missing in the boat tragedy.
