Heavy weekend rush coupled with a series of holidays which began since last 4 days has been continuing in Tirumala. By the time of 6pm on Saturday, the lines are getting added at Silathoranam and for tokenless devotees it is taking approximately 30 hours for darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
In spite of repeated announcements about the time at Tirupati Railway station, bus station, Alipiri, the pilgrim crowd is swarming to Hill Town. TTD has made elaborate arrangements of Annprasadam, water and security to the multitude of visiting pilgrims.
On Saturday itself, till 5pm, Annaprasadam was served to 80 thousand pilgrims in MTVAC and another 80 in outside queue lines.
About 2500 Srivari Sevaks have been deployed to render services to the waiting pilgrims in all these areas.
All the senior officers of TTD in Tirumala have been monitoring the facilities from time to time and ensuring hassle-free darshan to devotees. Owing to series of holidays coupled with week end rush, the summer crowd is witnessed a week in advance at Tirumala.
All the compartments in Vaikuntham 1 and 2 are fill to their capacities with pilgrim devotees.
Heavy footfall has been the order of the day in Alipiri footpath route.
Due to heavy rush in Tirumala, it is taking nearly 48 hours i.e. two days for darshan for the tokenless devotees.
TTD has appealed to devotees to make note of this and plan their pilgrimage accordingly. Or else they have to wait with patience in the serpentine queue lines till their turn for darshan.
