PM Modi announced that the Nari Shakti Vandal bill will be introduced in parliament for the reservation of women in State Assemblies and LS.
The Bill will be implemented post De- Limitation.
One-third of seats will be reserved for SC ST women out of the said 33 percent. This was announced by PM in the Naya Sansad building. There will be a rotation of seats after the de-limitation.
There will be no women quota bill in legislative councils and Rajya Sabha. Women’s quota is the first agenda in the special session of the parliament in the new building.
The old bill on 33 percent is not live and a New bill will be introduced for the same clarified HM Shah in the parliament. The old bill lapsed as it failed in the parliament and was not taken up in the Rajya Sabha stated the HM Shah.
The Bill was loaded on the PCs of the respective members. The Bill named as Naari Shakti Vandan. The law Minister tables the bill in the parliament(LS) on the day of the special session.
PM Modi has urged for a consensus on the Bill to benefit women and bring them in the mainstream of politics in large numbers. The Bill will be introduced in RS on 21st.
The members of the Opposition were agitated as they did not get the hard copies of the Bill. The LS may approve the Bill on 20th in the parliament and then the next day it will be introduced in RS.
The constitution will be amended for the implementation of the Bill.
