30 dead in Telugu states

At least 30 people have been killed as heavy rain battered Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the second consecutive day on Sunday, causing flooding and waterlogging in several areas, and disrupting road and
rail traffic.

One must appreciate the way the CM Chandrababu his ministers and the officers responded to the call of the people. CM was seen in a motor boat moving around day and night in the flood hit areas in Vijayawada.

The situation was bad in Telangana and also Andhra Pradesh. While Babu was seen in action , Revanth is yet to come out.At least 15 people in Telangana and 12 in Andhra Pradesh have been killed as rivers in both states remained in spate on Sunday.

Thousands of people were evacuated by national and state disaster response forces from flooded areas to relief camps.

More than 100 trains have been cancelled so far, while several others have been diverted due to heavy rains and waterlogging over tracks at multiple locations on the South Central Railway network, which serves Telangana and Andhra Pradesh among other states.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday spoke to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Telangana counterpart A Revanth Reddy and assured them of all possible help from the Centre.

The centre has assured of choppers and boat to both the states for the rescue operations.
