Out of the 6 Congress MLAs in Telangana, 3 of them are set to join the BJP it is reported. Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, Jaggareddy are in touch with each other and are working out the modalities to join the BJP it is reported. If they join, the tally of BJP in Assembly will rise to 3. The other name is not yet known so far. After that only 3 members will remain for the Congress here in Telangana Assembly. It may be noted that earlier 12 members from the Congress have got merged with the TRS. There is a case pending in the court on the said merger.The judgement on the issue is pending in the court.
There might be no Congress member in the Assembly in the near future. However the brother of Rajagopal, that is Komatireddy Venkat Reddy will remain in the Congress as an MP it is reported. It looks like the Komatireddy brothers who have business interests want to remain in both the parties on the safe side. One brother will be with the Congress and the other will be with the BJP the ruling party at the centre.
Apart from MLAs, some MPs from the Congress are contemplating to join the BJP and that the talks have already concluded with the BJP senior leader Ram Madhav. It is reported that some Congress MPs have already met Prime Minister Modi, led by Amit Shah the party President and the Minister for Home.
