23 lakes ready for Vinayak Nimajjan

The GHMC has identified and created water bodies in 23 areas in Hyderabad where the Vinayak Nimajjan can be done without going all the way to Tankbund. Each water body can hold around 500 Ganesh idols of various sizes. The debris will be later removed after the completion of Nimajjan process.

The idea is to avoid congestion all along the route of Shobha yatra of Ganeshas. Only the designated and identified Ganesh idols would be allowed for the Tankbund route.

The idols in the main process route must me having police permission in advance. All other idols will be immersed in the local identified water bodies. So far 23 bodies and tanks have been identified and they are cleaned and being kept ready for the immersion of the Ganesh idols.

The Nimajjan process will begin from the 3rday of the Ganesh Chaturthi. That is from the 4th of this month. Then the process of Nimajjan continues for the next 10 days.

On the 10nth day, it ends at Tankbund as Ganesh Shobha yatra. Apart from Nimajjan, the bundobust process has to be looked into by the police department.

Police from other districts and states are also coming for the Ganesh bundobust here in the twin cities.
Clay Ganeshas are being installed in some districts to avoid pollution. Siddipet comes first in the installation of Clay Ganeshas. Khairatabad Ganesha with a height of around 61 feet is ready for Pooja.
