Today is the third day the Ayyappa Temple is open for Darshan at Sabarimala. Several women tried to reach the Temple after the court verdict, but they were turned down by the protestors. heavy police bundobust has been arranged by the State Government of Kerala. The CM of the state Vijayan said that the law and order would be the priority and at the same time court verdict would also be followed.
Now a Journalist from Mojo TV of Hyderabad and another pilgrim are trekking the hill shrine amidst police security. The police have provided them with helmets and escorting them to the sanctum sanctorum.
If they can manage to enter the temple amidst protest then the women from Hyderabad and the other lady would be the first to reach the temple. This would be the first visit by ladies who would be entering the temple which was prohibited to the ladies.
The Temple management is against the entry of the ladies and they say it goes against the tradition. But the court said that God is equal to the ladies and gents and that the ladies of all ages must be allowed into the Temple.
