In the worst industrial accident in this decade, as many as 18 people died in a fatal reactor blast accident that happened at the Escientia Pharma company in Atchutapuram SEZ, Anakapalle.
According to Home Minister Anitha, the gas leak was the main reason for the fire accident and more 40 were injured in the incident. The Gas leaked and a short circuit occurred due to the AC s, resulting in an explosion and a wall collapse.
CM Chandrababu is supervising the relief measures and the injured were admitted to various corporate hospitals for treatment. The CM assured that all help would be extended to the families of the deceased.
The people admitted to the Hospital from the Pharma company were given all medical attention and the Government would take care of the treatment. The mishap is being probed by the Government and action
would be initiated on the company if there is any lapse.
CM Chandrababu is supposed to tour the pharma company today to know the real reason behind the explosion. It was a huge explosion and the wall collapsed here in the company killing some people instantly.
