While the Azadi ki amrit Mahotsav is going on in a big way in Telangana under the dynamic leadership of K Chandrasekhar Rao, the preparations for Ganesh Chaturthi is also going on.

The push for the clay idols is going on with all determination. Khairatabad is the main venue for the festival with around fifty feet Ganesh idol being installed and this time it is being made in clay.

The police and the pollution control board are impressing upon the Bhagyanaga Ganesh Utsav Samithi to go for the clay idols across the state. The family members are also being requested to go for the mud Ganeshas so that they can be immersed in a bucket of water and then given to the plants.

Some NGOs and sweet shops are giving the mud Ganeshas free of cost. This is to reduce water pollution.

But the idols of plaster of paries are also being made across the city, especially in the area of dhoolpet.

The police have also made a request to do the nimajjan at the respective water bodies in the local areas so that there would be no traffic jam in the city on the Nimmajjan day in the name of shobayatra.

Around ten thousand police are being deployed for the Ganesh Navratri this time. Police permission is a must for the Installation of a Ganesh Pandal across the state.

Permission must be taken for participation in the Nimajjan yatra also.
