1200 crore for drinking water to Hyderabad outskirts

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao approved for release of Rs 1,200 crore to ensure adequate drinking water supply in the peripheral areas of Hyderabad city.

KCR also instructed the officials concerned to initiate immediate measures to prevent the scarcity of drinking water in Hyderabad and its surrounding areas in future.

The Chief Minister who chaired the State Cabinet meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on Tuesday also instructed the officials to establish a third wire for power supply in all villages especially for streetlights in an attempt to prevent any inadvertent short circuits.

The Cabinet asserted that the construction of Vaikuntadhamams in all the villages across the State should be completed within the next one month. The Chief Minister asked all the Ministers to monitor the works personally in their respective districts and ensure that all Vaikuntadhamams are completed without fail.

The Chief Minister KCR also opined that the recruitment of 50000 jobs must take place at the earliest as promised by the Government.
