The eleventh season of Vivo IPL came to an end successfully with Chennai Super Kings reigning supreme. This in fact is the third time they have won this coveted title and are on equal with Mumbai Indians, who cut a sorry figure this time. We must equally appreciate the runners up Sunrisers Hyderabad for putting up a fantastic show right through.

The 11th edition really provided plenty of entertainment and fun to millions of cricket lovers all over. Till last year it was on Sony Espn and this year Star Sports did a superb job to the delight of all.

The final at the wankhede stadium eventually turned out to be a one-sided affair despite SRH putting up a big total of 178. But in the chase Shane Watson was outstanding, scoring an unbeaten century to lead the show. He had anxious moments when Bhuvi was swinging the ball in power play. Once he settled it was a one man show. He did get good support from Raina in the middle. None of the SRH bowlers except Bhuvi and Rashid could make any impression.

Watson was severe on Kaul and Sandeep, hammering them around with no kindness. Dhoni could not have expected a better tribute than this.

Because before the start of event they got the tag of the dadys army. But they proved everyone wrong and we all have to accept that experience matters in any field.

We must praise Kane Williamson the SRH skipper who did a magnificent job in the absence of David Warner.
But final was not theirs.
