The ban of currency has helped lord Balaji at TTD to get more money in the Hundi collection. Preliminary analysis has showed that in November the Hundi collections are expected to reach more or less to 100 crore. This month itself the flow of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 is on the rise.
Every year the income has been rising for the TTD. Not only TTD, all other temples are getting more incomes this month. There are reports that the pilgrims are dumping some of the old notes in Hundis of the temples.
At TTD there is flow of old and new notes. Like the general public the lord also can deposit all the old notes in banks. So conversion is not an issue.
The November and December collection is expected to reach more than 200 crore this year and is expected to set an all time new record. The TTD on other hand have started keeping hand held devices to take money from the swipe cards. Some pilgrims are making payments for the rooms and sevas by way of bank cards.
The demonitisation done by PM Modi has contributed a lot to the TTD in terms of the Hundi income. There is no doubt about it. Initially pilgrims did not go to TTD after November 8th. But after that slowly the flow of the pilgrims has doubled in the recent 15 days and the income has also rised.
The TTD offcials on the other hand are expecting a rise in the crowds this year end, that is in the month of December. There will be new year crowd also and the old notes flow is going to end by the this year end. There is every chance that the pilgrims will dump all that is left in the form old currency at TTD Hundi and Hundis of other temples also.
So we can say demonitisation has helped gods to get more collections this year.
