100 Crore food syrup unit in Telangana:KTR

Renowned French company Georges Monin SAS to set up a unit in Telangana .With its progressive industrial policy, Telangana continues to attract foreign investments into the state. Adding the latest feather to its cap, Government of Telangana signed a MoU with Georges Monin SAS in the presence of Minister KT Rama Rao on June 19, 2018.

Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, IT & Industries Department and Olivier Monin, President, Georges Monin SAS, signed the MoU respectively on behalf of Telangana state and Georges Monin SAS.

Georges Monin SAS is a renowned French company that produces flavoured syrups for use in foods and beverages.

With an investment up to Rs. 100 crores, Georges Monin SAS will set up production facilities in Telangana to manufacture gourmet flavours from a wide range of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and nuts. The unit is expected to generate more than 200 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the state.

The government of Telangana is encouraging food processing sector in the state with objectives of increasing farm incomes and reducing food wastage. At the MoU signing program, Minister KT Rama Rao said, “We will provide complete assistance to Georges Monin SAS in setting up of its unit in the state.”

Georges Monin SAS is a France based 106-year-old company and a global leader in gourmet flavour business. The company manufactures syrups, sweeteners, fruit purees and other beverages. The company manufactures a line of coffee and tea concentrates.

With its headquarters in France, Georges Monin’s products are available in more than 140 countries.
