The BJP Government is all set to give 10 per cent reservation in Government jobs and education for upper castes who are economically weak. This is a big decision just before the elections.
To implement this the government is likely to make a constitutional amendment. This is like the quota for the EBC. The modalities are being worked out and income limit is being decided as under 8 lakh per annum.
The RSS leaders earlier argued that the reservations should be on an economic basis and not on caste basis. Keeping the RSS suggestion in mind the NDA Government is making the legislation to this extent soon.
When people thought that Modi’s graph was going down after losing three major states, the NDA government has taken this decision to appease the higher caste people who are economically backward.
The Modi government has reduced the petrol rates, GST rates and now has taken a decision to provide reservations of ten per cent for the economically backwards higher classes.
